Decision Weekend at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park

Dick’s Sporting Goods Park — The Colorado Rapids finished the 2016 regular season undefeated at home on Sunday afternoon, a 1–1 draw with the Houston Dynamo. Pablo Mastroeni’s men will watch MLS Knockout games this week to see who they travel to face on October 30. The return leg of the MLS Conference Semifinals will be at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Sunday, November 6.

On Saturday, Azteca FC beat Harpo’s FC 2–1 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in the second round of the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup qualification games. Colorado’s Rush Alumni beat IPS/Marathon Taverna 4–0 in Portland on Saturday night with goals from Griffin Dorsey, Colin Clark, Nick Blanco, and Ryan Crawley. The tournament’s random draw for the next round might send both teams out of state, but U.S. Soccer won’t be able to schedule the games until January 2017. Severe weather postponed two games nationwide this weekend (Santa Ana Winds FC vs La Máquina FC and LA Wolves FC vs Inland Empire FC). Common sense would line up Azteca/Rush here in Colorado, and common sense tells Colorado soccer fans to make sure they don’t miss it.
